Wauwatosa Senior Portraits Session | Lilly

Mount Mary University was the perfect setting for this Wauwatosa East Senior Portrait session. Lilly, her mom, and I wandered around campus to catch the evening light and peak fall colors.

As with many other sessions, I love to bring along a speaker and play some tunes while taking photos. To my delight, Miss Lilly requested some good ole Florence! As ‘You’ve got the Love’ and other favorites played on the speaker, we strolled through the changing leaves and I was able to document Lilly’s smooth personality and [jackpot] thrifted sweaters.

We wound up walking by a willow tree, and I suggested taking some pictures in the branches. As we walked up to the tree, both Lilly and her mom mentioned how willow trees brought them back to summers at the lake with grandma and grandpa. Growing up, Lilly spent many hours fishing underneath a willow tree. She by no means would consider herself an avid fisherman, but nevertheless I love that this willow tree sparks memories of cast and reel from her childhood.

At the end of the evening, we captured that golden hour sunlight and I even snagged some fun and cute photos with mom! A great end to this Wauwatosa Senior Portraits session.

I love these senior sessions and getting to know new families in the Milwaukee community. If you know a graduating senior who would like their photos documented by Grace Creatives, reach out today!
