Cozy Couples Portrait Session | At Home

As the weather turned cooler and the 2018 Christmas season approached, cozy hang-outs in the Fisher household became more frequent and valued! 🙂 Thus, it was a perfect excuse for a cozy couples portrait session in their home on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Mary and AJ purchased their sweet Denver bungalow in early 2017. Since then, they have fully embodied home-owner-ness and love to do house projects together. They’ve completely redone one side of their back patio, grown a flourishing garden, painted almost every wall, craigslisted, DIYed, and completely re-styled a useful mud/laundry room.

We started out the session documenting Mary and AJ snuggled up on the couch. Their family room has a perfect mixture of calming yet unique pieces. My favorite was definitely Mary’s hand-sewn pouf!

Seeking a mini-break, Mary and AJ treated me to some delicious homemade chili and cornbread. AGH, they’re just the sweetest!

After lunch, we were able to snap away some memories in some of their favorite spots of the home: on the most beautiful rug in their moody office, on top of their bed with a BRAND NEW headboard and frame, and in the only space of the house without a fan…the hallway (haha, you guys, when these guys moved in there were nine ceiling fans. N I N E!)!
