Boerner Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

Would you believe that Shawna and Weston have known each other since middle school? They mostly dated on and off in high school. Then, after reconnecting later in life they realized it was meant to be! During the summer of 2020, they were celebrating Shawna’s birthday at their family cabin with friends. Just before everyone arrived, Weston asked Shawna to marry him and surprised her with the ring! The next day they were able to celebrate with both sets of parents at one of their favorite places. <3

At the end of September, I met up with them at Boerner Botanical Gardens to document their engagement photos! It was a cool and overcast Sunday afternoon and the fall colors were just starting to pop-up. The gardens were quiet and it ended up being a perfect setting for this fun engagement session. 

I look forward to documenting their Lilac Acres wedding next October!
