Frequently Asked Questions
-
Typically 4-8 weeks for weddings and full-day events. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the following categories: Maternity, Newborn, Families, Branding, Engagement, and half-day events.
What happens if you get sick or injured and can’t photograph me?
If I get sick or injured and am no longer able to photograph you, then I will immediately notify you and will work with you to either reschedule or find a substitute photographer.
-
If you need to reschedule, then please notify me right away. Depending upon the situation and timing, then I am happy to work with you to reschedule. However, if you need to cancel, then the 20% retainer fee is non-refundable after signing the contract.
-
Yes, I will often edit out break-outs, pimples, red marks, and even food on the face (oops). However, if you have any scars, birth marks, or moles then I will not edit those unless requested.
-
I describe my editing style as very true to light and color. During editing, I will crop, straighten, correct exposure, adjust contrast, and level out some colors in addition to fixing basic blemishes or red spots. However, even with these edits, you will receive an image that displays your natural features and appearance. My vision and end goal is to provide edits that remain timeless and never appear overly edited.
-
I take my time during the editing process to make sure everything looks great. However, if after you receive your photos you would like me to re-edit something then I can do so. My contract states the following: the final post-production and editing styles, effects, and overall look of the images are left to the discretion of Grace Creatives, LLC. All final processed images include lighting adjustments, color corrections, perspective adjustments, and/or removing distracting elements. Any additional retouching requested by the Client will be billed at $60 per hour. When sharing photos publicly or on the internet, the client agrees to forgo further editing to the images (this includes the addition of filters).
-
Yes. After editing an entire gallery in color, I will choose a select few images to edit in black and white. Nevertheless, every black and white photo is paired with a color one and you will never receive a black and white edit without a corresponding color edit.
-
This is dependent upon the type of session that you book.
If you are booking Grace Creatives for a mini-session, then the number of images will be given in the session description.
If you are booking a wedding with Grace Creatives, then you will have access to all of the edited digital images from your wedding day. I typically shoot 60-80 images/hour and provide anywhere between 40-70 pictures/hour in the final gallery.
If you are booking a different session, then the amount of images is dependent upon the amount of time and type of session that you book.

As the photographer, I own copyright to all of images I capture. After delivery of the images, you are more than welcome to print, share, and enjoy them for your very own personal-use. Under my contract, you may not re-sell the images or pass them along for commercial use without written permission from Grace Creatives.

Yes! Yes! YES! I am such a strong advocate for printing photos. You are able to order prints (multiple sizes offered) through the gallery site…very simple and easy! Additionally, I provide album ordering and creation services with lots of different options and add-ons.
-
I’m a Canon person! I own a Canon Mark IV and a variety of Canon lenses. Sometimes you will see me break out my flash, tripod, or reflectors.
-
Thanks for asking! As a small business owner, I prefer clients to make payments using either cash or check. However, Paypal and Credit Card options are also available.
-
After the session, I will narrow down and edit all of the images. Then, they will be delivered via an online digital gallery. Through this gallery, you will be able to share, view, favorite, download, and buy all of the images. The digital gallery link is delivered via email. Often times, I will also follow-up with clients on the day-of sharing the gallery and let them know that their photos are available and ready to be viewed.

It takes me 4 weeks to edit a wedding and 2 weeks to edit a portrait session (engagement, family, branding, and etc.).

I have several people within the Milwaukee photography community that I will usually ask about availability and hire as second shooters. All of them have wedding photography experience and even photograph weddings themselves! In fact, I’ve been able to second shoot for several of them in the past too!
-
Yes! If you are local to the midwest, then any mileage over 60 miles (roundtrip) from Milwaukee is charged at 67 cents per mile.
I am also available for travel outside of the midwest! Travel fees include the following: transportation (plane tickets and/or car rental), meal fund allotment, and lodging. I always search for the best deal when it comes to traveling and will work with you throughout the entire process to be transparent about the details!
-
Yes! I offer a 4-hour wedding collection, however you would like to hire me for less time than that I can provide you with an hourly rate! Just ask!
-
I typically schedule no more than 20 weddings per year. This ideal amount allows me enough time to devote to my wedding clients, photograph engagements, edit the weddings and take on additional family and branding sessions.

In the contract, Grace Creatives includes a section that talks about the rights to your image being used on Grace Creatives social media platforms and publicly via the website. The model release applies to you two and anyone who may be captured at the event. With that being said, I am more than willing to try to avoid photographing certain people and/or agree to not post pictures of certain people online. If interested in including this in the contract, I would make an ‘additional note’ and add it to the bottom of the contract. Then, on the day of your session/event, I would ask you to point out the person who would prefer to not have their image taken/posted online! I completely understand that sometimes safety is a concern when it comes to having an image posted publicly online and I am more than happy to respect those wishes and keep that information confidential.
-
Nope!
In the contract, you will see that a photographer(s) meal is requested on wedding days longer than 5 hours. This meal can be the same meal that you serve to your guests, but it does not have to be. On the timeline, the photographer(s) will eat their meal at the same time at the bride and groom are eating (since eating pics aren’t on the must-have list). You can choose to have the photographer(s) sit at a vendor table, intermixed with guests, in the kitchen, or at another location.

Yes! For wedding photos I am more than happy to purchase a flash drive and add it to the invoice. Otherwise, you can provide me with one. The flash drive needs to meet the following specs: USB 3.0 8GB flash drive.
