Milwaukee East Side Maternity Session | Chris and Andi

I met Andi and Chris in Milwaukee East Side to document their maternity session! Andi will soon give birth to their first child, therefore they invited me to document this special time in their lives!

If you were to meet Andi and Chris, you would immediately be drawn to their zest for life, love for one another, and bold personalities. I have no doubt in my mind that their daughter will be immensely loved, have a strong sense of charm and share their contagious giggle.

There were so many locations that came to mind when brainstorming places to capture their maternity photos! However, after finding out about Andi and Chris’s love of Milwaukee AND bright colors, I knew that Black Cat Alley would be the perfect setting to start the session. We wandered up and down the alley to take in all of the remarkable murals and then found several to photograph in front of. Andi and Chris’ choice of outfits blended in perfectly! 

Afterwards, we walked down the road to Beans and Barley to capture the texture in the ivy wall and snap some photos of Chris and Andi together with the bump.

To finish off the session, we drove down to Lake Michigan and went for a walk with their dog, Hero. Upon seeing them interact with their sweet pup, I knew that I needed to take some doggy portraits and images of this expiring family of three (since we all know that fur babies are considered part of the family as well). 

All in all, I had a wonderful afternoon with this couple and can’t wait to photograph their sweet daughter’s newborn photos after she joins us later in July!
