Grand Geneva Wedding | Black and White Edits

The other day I read an interesting perspective on black and white editing. This particular photographer said that she prefers all photos in an album/collection to be either in black and white OR color…not both. I’ve never taken the time to edit like this before, but I was super intrigued by the concept.

Therefore, I chose to give it a try with some of the images I captured with Kate Romenesko Photography back in September at Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva. Overall, I was really pleased with the final result and glad I took on the ‘challenge.’ However, from the consumer viewpoint and everyday edits, I see the value in editing all images in color and then providing a few favorites (ie: intimate moments & small details) in a black and white edit.
